Brazil: Pátria Agronegócios is a consulting service for the soybean and corn markets based in Goiania, Goias, Brazil. Their weather comments yesterday:
“Forecasts indicate dry weather over the next 15 days in key regions such as Goiás, Minas Gerais, and northern São Paulo. This raises an important alert, especially since about 40% of the second crop was planted outside the ideal window. On the other hand, Mato Grosso has crops in excellent condition, which limits any more aggressive reaction in prices.”
AgrInvest Commodities is consulting service and export grain trader based in Paraná, Brazil issued these market comments yesterday:
“Rainfall amounts remain low and poorly distributed, insufficient to reverse the drier weather conditions, maintaining concerns about crop development, especially for the second corn crop. Urea continues to rise, with indications around $800/t CFR, while ammonium sulfate consolidates as an alternative, quoted near $285/t CFR.
In the phosphate sector, the upward trend continues, driven mainly by the surge in sulfur prices, which is putting pressure on global production costs. MAP maintains indications in the $880/t CFR range, but there are already offers close to $1,000/t, while SSP remains firm, supported by the absence of Chinese demand and supply constraints. In potassium, the movement is more stable, with KCl around $400/t CFR.”
