Flash sales: Yesterday morning, the USDA announced the sale of:
264,000 mts of old crop soybeans to China
226,000 mts of old crop beans to unknown
186,000 mts of old crop corn to unknown
Crude oil: OPEC’s latest monthly report maintained a firm demand outlook due to consistent demand in China and India while reiterating that non-OPEC supply growth is set to moderate in 2026. The group also noted that OPEC+ supply management continues to anchor market stability.
In its latest update, the Information Energy Agency (IEA) trimmed the projected 2026 surplus for the first time since May, cutting its glut forecast from 4.09 million bpd to 3.84 million bpd as sanctions on Russia and Venezuela curb supply and global demand has proven stronger than expected, which prompted the IEA to revise 2026 demand growth upward by 90,000 bpd.
