December oats settled 12 cents lower Monday. Oats are a feed grain and so is corn. Oats knows!

Сrop progress estimates were released by Reuters as of 10/26/25: the corn harvest is estimated at 72% with a range of 67-80%, soybean harvest at 84% complete with a range of 80-88%, and winter wheat planting 84% complete with a range of 81-89%.

Dr. Michael Cordonnier left his U.S. corn and soybean yield estimates unchanged at 181 bpa and 52 bpa respectively. He projects the Brazilian soybean crop at 177 million mts (USDA 175) and corn production at 140 million mts (USDA 131).

Brazil’s planting of soybeans for the 2025/26 season reached 36% of the expected area as of last Thursday, up from 24% a week earlier. Corn planting in the center-south reached 55%, versus 53% a year earlier, according to AgRural.
