Iran: President Trump announced in a post yesterday that he was extending the deadline for a deal with Iran until 8 PM Eastern Time on 6 April at the request of the Iranian Government because talks are ongoing and going very well, despite erroneous statements to the contrary.
Some sources are saying the chances of success in achieving a ceasefire remain low, as Iran and the United States are making demands that are unacceptable to each other.
China: President Trump and Chinese leader Xi Jinping will hold their highly anticipated summit in Beijing on May 14-15. The Press Secretary also announced that Xi would visit Washington later this year.
Hogs will consume about 1% more corn and soybean meal than a year ago based upon the Quarterly Pig Crop Report yesterday afternoon. Hog numbers were about as expected:
All Hogs & Pigs were 100.4% of last year, close to 100.3% expected.
The Breeding Stock was 98.5%, less than 99.8% expected.
The Market hog numbers were 100.6%, compared to 101% expected.
