Flash sale: Yesterday morning, the USDA announced the sale of 110,000 mts of old crop corn and 306,000 mts of old crop sorghum to unknown.


The dollar index has lost 3.4% in the last 6 trading days. That is supposed to be super bullish for U.S. exports, especially wheat.


The storm across the U.S. has cut electricity to millions of people in the U.S., which contributed to reducing crude oil production by 2 million barrels per day and reducing natural gas production by more than 10 billion cubic feet per day. Over the past three days, Gulf Coast ports in Texas and Louisiana have loaded 3 million barrels of crude per day on barges to transport to refineries instead of the normal 3.8 million barrels.


Electricity prices in the PJM Interconnection (serves mostly Mid-Atlantic States) area soared almost 550% to $638 per MWh, the highest since 2014; New York saw prices jump to $680 per MWh.
