The Dow Jones Index settled on Friday at 53,277, -455 points for the week.
Crude oil settled at $86.64, +4.24.
Dollar Index settled at 98.84, -0.80.
Baltic Dry Index (a shipping freight-cost index) settled at 2,841, -3.
Corn
September futures settled at $4.83¾, +24¾¢ for the week.
December corn settled at $5.08½, +25¼¢ for the week.
Basis (U = Sept, Z = Dec; e.g. 10U means 10¢ over Sept futures) (Futures price + Basis = Cash price)
The US national average basis was -26U, steady.
Dayton, Ohio Cargill’s spot basis was 35U, 5¢ firmer, $5.19 cash price. New crop was -20Z, steady.
Iowa Falls Poet’s spot basis was -15U, 3¢ firmer, $4.68 cash price. New crop was -35Z, steady.
