WTI: Managed money trades (big specs and index funds) were net short West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude oil futures in early October for the first time since 2008. Over the last 12 years, managed money held about 30% of the total crude oil open interest.
European fuel importers are currently steering clear of diesel from Africa’s biggest and newest refinery Dangote in Nigeria because the fuel contains elevated sulfur and cetane numbers as well as other components exceeding the European winter fuel specifications.
