China: About noon Central Time yesterday it was reported:
“U.S. Trade Representative Greer says the Trump Administration thinks they will be able to "work through it" with China.”
A meeting between President Trump and President Xi has officially been rescheduled.
U.S. President Donald Trump said on Tuesday Washington was considering terminating some trade ties with China, including in relation to cooking oil.
"I believe that China purposefully not buying our Soybeans, and causing difficulty for our Soybean Farmers, is an Economically Hostile Act. We are considering terminating business with China having to do with Cooking Oil, and other elements of Trade, as retribution," Trump wrote on social media.
France’s grain outlook for 2025/26 maize (including seed) was raised by 0.1 million to 13.7 million mts, but down 7.6% from last year, based on a projected yield of 8.85 tons per hectare (141 bu/ac), about 4% lower from a 5-year average. Soft wheat projection was trimmed by 0.1 million as well, to 33.2 million mts, though it is 29% above the rain-hit 2024 volume.
