Flash Sales: USDA announced yesterday the soybeans sales of 114,000 mts to China and 261,000 mts to unknown.
Weekly U.S. export inspections for soybeans at 2 million mts were well above all trade estimates after a brief slowdown, while corn inspections fell well short.
The divergence reflects China's return to seasonally timed U.S. soybean purchases and corn's lagging year-over-year sales pace.

China, the world's largest soybean buyer, brought in 11.88 million mts of soybeans in September, down 7.7% from the same month last year.
China imported 360,878 mts of U.S. soybeans in September, up from zero a year earlier, as soybeans bought under a deal to end last year's trade war continued to arrive at Chinese ports.
