Crude oil closed at a 16 day high yesterday supported by decreased probability of an end to the Russia and Ukraine war.
Corn export: For the marketing year ending 31 August 2025, U.S. corn exports were a record high by a wide margin at 2,830 million bushels. The USDA projects this marketing year’s corn exports will be 3,075 million bushels. Many analysts laughed at that number when USDA printed it on 14 November. Now that we have gotten weekly export sales reports through October, the amount of corn already booked for export this marketing year is 48% of the 3,075 million bushels! In only 3 of the last 27 years has the corn export book been above 25% by this date.
