Flash Sales: Yesterday, the USDA announced the sale of 132,000 mts of new crop soybeans to China.
Weather & Markets:
Small rain squalls in Nebraska and Iowa popped up early Tuesday morning and turned corn, wheat, and beans futures from higher to lower. Once again, when it is July or August and raining in Iowa, corn and bean prices go down.
If you have old or new crop soybeans not priced, do you know the Corn Belt is expected to have above normal temperatures and above normal rainfall for the next two weeks? Think what that kind of weather would do for your soybean crop and then consider there are more than 84 million acres of soybeans in the USA.
Granted, Brazil’s main soybean growing area is expected to have below normal rainfall from now through next March or April, but that can change also.
