China has softened their stance on their Friday announcement about rare earth mineral export controls. On Sunday morning, China issued this press release specifically about rare earth minerals:
The recent change is NOT a full export ban.
Applications that “meet regulations” will be approved.
Willing to engage in deeper dialogue.
Looks for global industrial and supply chain stability.

Reuters News reported Sunday afternoon that China called U.S. President Donald Trump's latest tariffs on Chinese goods hypocritical and defended its curbs on exports of rare earth elements and equipment but stopped short of imposing new levies on U.S. products.
