Iran will not agree to give up its pursuit of developing nuclear weapons. The U.S. and most of its allies require Iran to give up that pursuit. After all, Iran has openly stated for 47 years it wants to “Blow Israel off the map” and “Death to America.”
The military operation versus Iran will not end unless Iran has a regime change or Israel and the U.S. allow Iran to develop nuclear weapons. Neither side will accept the other’s position on nuclear weapons for Iran. It is an identical situation with Russia and Ukraine; neither will accept the other’s position on the disputed territory.
War is nothing more than an extension of foreign policy. In both cases, war will continue until one side loses its will to fight.
