The agriculture futures markets will be closed Friday, but banks, postal workers, and the government will be working. Futures markets will close at normal time today and open at normal time Easter Sunday.
The CBOT prices were pressured yesterday by sharply lower crude oil and prospects for the U.S. to end its participation in persecuting the war against Iran. Corn and beans recovered nicely before the close, but wheat did not recover as badly needed rain is expected in the Hard Red Winter Wheat areas.
President Donald Trump told Americans on Wednesday night that he expects the war on Iran to last another two to three weeks, but deemed it close to an end:
“We’re going to hit them extremely hard over the next two to three weeks. We’re going to bring them back to the stone ages, where they belong.”
Crude oil went higher and stock markets reacted negatively to the speech.
