Yield report from a NE Kansas County adjacent to Nebraska:
"Yields are variable depending on farming practices. APH at 150, our yields are 200, last year 211, but if you skipped on fungicide or fertilizer, around 175."
Thanks, Ron
Crude oil: The purpose of the meeting on Tuesday of the military top brass called by Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has been described as a forum for Hegseth to explain the credo of "warrior ethos" (a warrior mentality) which includes reducing the number of flag officers (generals and admirals) by 20%. Crude oil traded $1.44 higher, but lost half of that gain after sources stated the meeting was about organization and training rather than a NATO operation.
The rates for chartering a supertanker capable of transporting up to 2 million barrels of oil, from the U.S. Gulf Coast to Asia has jumped to $70,000 per day according to the Baltic Exchange. The rates for supertankers on the Middle East to China route are steeper, at about $90,000 per day and even $100,000 in some recent deals, but the voyage from the Middle East to Asia is about two weeks shorter compared to the U.S-Asia route. The export of U.S. crude to Asia could soon come to an end.
