The Dow Jones Index settled on Friday at 51,683, -891 points for the week.
Crude oil settled at $100.3, +0.31.
Dollar Index settled at 100.21, +1.12.
Baltic Dry Index (a shipping freight-cost index) settled at 3,370, -137.
Corn
December futures settled at $5.27½, -2¾¢ for the week.
Basis (Z = Dec; e.g. 10Z means 10¢ over Dec futures) (Futures price + Basis = Cash price)
The US national average basis was -42Z, 2¢ firmer.
Dayton, Ohio Cargill’s spot basis was -5Z, 15¢ weaker, $5.23 cash price. New crop Oct basis was -20, steady.
Iowa Falls Poet’s spot basis was -35Z, 10¢ weaker, $4.92 cash price. New crop Oct basis was -35, steady.
