The Dow Jones Index settled on Friday at 52,485, +538 points for the week.
Crude oil settled at $86.8, -3.67.
Dollar Index settled at 99.8, -1.66.
Baltic Dry Index (a shipping freight-cost index) settled at 2,732, -11.
Corn
September futures settled at $4.40¾, -23½¢ for the week.
December corn settled at $4.64, -23½¢ for the week.
Basis (U = Sept, Z = Dec; e.g. 10U means 10¢ over Sept futures) (Futures price + Basis = Cash price)
The US national average basis was -29U, steady.
Dayton, Ohio Cargill’s spot basis was 20U, 5¢ weaker, $4.61 cash price. New crop was -20Z, steady.
Iowa Falls Poet’s spot basis was -20U, 5¢ firmer, $4.20 cash price. New crop was -35Z, steady.
