Crude oil settled at $90.47, +8.00.
Dollar Index settled at 101.46, +0.71.
Baltic Dry Index (a shipping freight-cost index) settled at 2,743, -9.
Corn
September futures settled at $4.64¼, +19½¢ for the week.
December corn settled at $4.87½, +20¢ for the week.
Basis (U = Sept, Z = Dec; e.g. 10U means 10¢ over Sept futures) (Futures price + Basis = Cash price)
The US national average basis was -29U, steady.
Dayton, Ohio Cargill’s spot basis was 25U, steady, $4.89 cash price. New crop was -20Z, steady.
Iowa Falls Poet’s spot basis was -25U, 5¢ weaker, $4.39 cash price. New crop was -35Z, steady.
