The Dow Jones Index settled on Friday at 52,146, -491 points for the week.
Crude oil settled at $82.47, +10.96.
Dollar Index settled at 100.75, -0.21.
Baltic Dry Index (a shipping freight-cost index) settled at 2,752, -192.
Corn
September futures settled at $4.44¾, +5¼¢ for the week.
December corn settled at $4.67½, +6½¢ for the week.
Basis (U = Sept, Z = Dec; e.g. 10U means 10¢ over Sept futures) (Futures price + Basis = Cash price)
The US national average basis was -29U, steady.
Dayton, Ohio Cargill’s spot basis was 25U, 5¢ weaker, $4.70 cash price. New crop was -20Z, steady.
Iowa Falls Poet’s spot basis was -20U, 2¢ weaker, $4.24 cash price. New crop was -35Z, steady.
