Soybean Marketing Outlook
One year ago today, spot month November 2025 soybean futures settled at $10.32. New crop November 2026 beans settled at $11.06, the highest price in 15 months.
The USDA said on its most recent S&D that the national average price paid to farmers for their 2024 soybeans had been $10.00 and the projected price to be paid to farmers for their 2025 soybeans would also be $10.00. It would be six months before the USDA would issue its first S&D and a projected price for the 2026 soybean crop.
The USDA had been shut down for a month due to a lack of the ability of Congress to pass a budget. We had no weekly export sales or inspections, no corn or crush information, and no October crop production report and S&D.
