Crude oil settled at $91.22, +7.78.
Dollar Index settled at 99.16, -0.52.
Baltic Dry Index (a shipping freight-cost index) settled at 3,628, +442.
Corn
December futures settled at $5.36¾, +¼¢ for the week.
Basis (Z = Dec; e.g. 10Z means 10¢ over Dec futures) (Futures price + Basis = Cash price)
The US national average basis was -44Z, 5¢ firmer.
Dayton, Ohio Cargill’s spot basis was 20Z, 9¢ firmer, $5.57 cash price. New crop was -20, steady.
Iowa Falls Poet’s spot basis was -35Z, steady, $5.01 cash price. New crop was -35, steady.
