Crude oil settled at $92.44, -7.86.
Dollar Index settled at 101.04, +0.83.
Baltic Dry Index (a shipping freight-cost index) settled at 3,426, +56.
Corn
December futures settled at $5.28¼, +¾¢ for the week.
Basis (Z = Dec; e.g. 10Z means 10¢ over Dec futures) (Futures price + Basis = Cash price)
The US national average basis was -41Z, 1¢ firmer.
Dayton, Ohio Cargill’s spot basis was -5Z, steady, $5.23 cash price. October basis was -20, steady.
Iowa Falls Poet’s spot basis was -30Z, 5¢ firmer, $4.98 cash price. October basis was -35, steady.
