The Dow Jones Index settled on Friday at 53,732, -305 points for the week.
Crude oil settled at $82.4, +5.32.
Dollar Index settled at 99.64, +0.04.
Baltic Dry Index (a shipping freight-cost index) settled at 2,844, -245.
Corn
September futures settled at $4.59, +20¢ for the week.
December corn settled at $4.83¼, +21¼¢ for the week.
Basis (U = Sept, Z = Dec; e.g. 10U means 10¢ over Sept futures) (Futures price + Basis = Cash price)
The US national average basis was -26U, 1¢ firmer.
Dayton, Ohio Cargill’s spot basis was 30U, steady, $4.89 cash price. New crop was -20Z, steady.
Iowa Falls Poet’s spot basis was -18U, 2¢ firmer, $4.41 cash price. New crop was -35Z, steady.
