Crude oil settled at $60.69, -4.50.
Dollar Index settled at 97.712, -0.47.
Baltic Dry Index (a shipping freight-cost index) settled at 1,901, -358.
Corn
December futures settled at $4.19, -3¢ for the week.
Basis (Z = December; e.g. 10Z means 10¢ over Dec futures) (Futures price + Basis = Cash price)
The US national average basis was -42Z, steady.
Dayton, Ohio Cargill’s spot basis was -20Z, 5¢ firmer, $3.99 cash price.
Iowa Falls Poet’s spot basis was -30Z, 5¢ firmer, $3.89 cash price.
