Tidbits, October S&D, Brazilian Soybeans, Russia-Ukraine 10/13/26
Tidbits
The news was quiet on Monday as government offices were closed for the Columbus Day holiday.
Planting of the 2026/27 season's soybeans in Brazil is moving at its fastest pace ever to reach about one-fifth of projected planted area as rains favored field work, consultancy firm Patria AgroNegocios said on Friday. Farmers planted 19.77% of the soybean crop area in Brazil, topping both the 12.86% in the same period last year and the 11.55% average of the last five years. Speedy planting could allow for an earlier-than-expected harvest. It also opens the door for crops planted later, such as the second-corn crop, to be developed within a more favorable climatic window.
Russia-Ukraine:
