Chinese authorities did confirm just after we sent our morning email that it is "ready" to relax its zero-Covid policy. That and the dollar index being down 2.14 yesterday sent beans and crude oil sharply higher. There was no time-table for the change in the zero covid policy.

Russian officials remind the world three times every day the Ukraine grain corridor deal is still scheduled to expire on November 18 and will expire if several concessions are not made. The G-7 leaders (aka Ukrainian supporters) state the deal is all but extended already. G-7 = Britain, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan and the United States, plus the European Union.
Canadian Pacific broke its all-time monthly record for shipping Canadian grain and grain products, moving 3.14 million mts in October 2022, more than 100,000 mt more than the previous record in October two years ago.
