About the NOPA

National Oilseed Processors Association (NOPA)


The NOPA was formed in 1930 and its members crush about 95% of all the soybeans crushed in the US and most of all other oilseeds produced in the US.


NOPA monthly crush numbers are released on or about the 15th of each month. The substance of the report is not immediately available to the public when released at Noon Eastern Time because only the members receive the crush report and those who pay $1200 per year.

Thomson Reuters is the sole distributor of the NOPA Crush Report which includes the following information:

  • Soybean crush and oils stocks for the current month, previous month and comparable month a year ago for six regions, including:

(1) Illinois (2) Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio and Michigan

(3) Southeast US

(4) Southwest US

(5) Iowa

(6) Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota and Montana

  • Total soybean crush and oil stocks for the current month, previous month and comparable month a year ago

  • Soybean meal: tons produced, yield, and exports for the current month, previous month and comparable month a year ago

  • Soybean oil: pounds produced and yield for the current month, previous month and comparable month a year ago
